Disciplines
Discipline is a term used by vampires to describe their supernatural powers.
The origin of the vampiric powers modernly known as Disciplines is unknown, however, but many believe they are gifts from Caine or Lilith, and a few Antediluvians are thought to have invented unique Disciplines that have been passed down through their childer. Others believe them to be inborn powers inherent to the undead body.
Aside from their inherent immortal condition and the ability to use vitae to regenerate wounds through Bloodheal and improve their overall strength, dexterity and stamina through Bloodbuff, proficiency in a Discipline gives the vampire additional supernatural abilities of great strategic value.
While all Clans start with an array of Clan Disciplines, many Vampires eventually seek to broaden their abilities by being Taught New Disciplines.

Demon Arts
Black Wind
Cost: 1 Demon Chi
Rank 1-5: For every rank you use it on. You gain a similar effect from Vampire’s Celerity.
Iron Mountain
Cost: 1 Demon Chi
Rank 1-5: For every rank you acquired, you gain a passive Damage Resistance equal to (5+(5*Rank), with max giving you 30% Damage Resistance. Activating it doubles it, so at max you gain 60% Damage Resistance.
Damage Resistance is an unmodifiable modifier on all damage, ignoring armor piercing attacks and so on
Kiai
Cost: 1 Demon Chi
A temporary buff to your speed (-0.3 delay), physique, athletics and dexterity (+2), and slowdown immunity. "This power allows the Kuei-jin to bring his body, mind, and souls into focus in one brief, transcendent moment marked by a loud shout."
Enemies within short range (2 tiles) have their vision blurred for a scaling duration. If your Total Power is at least 1 (i.e. your Social is at least as high as their Mentality) they are stunned for 0.2-1.6 seconds, depending on your Total Power. "The Kuei-jin can irritate his opponent in hand-to-hand combat"
One targeted enemy is pushed back a single tile. If your Total Power is more than 1 (i.e. your Social is higher than their Mentality) they are knocked down for a scaling duration; if their Mentality is no more than 2 higher than your Social, they hallucinate that they're burning. "the Kuei-jin can let loose an intimidating scream that sends his opponent running for his life"
This is an experiment with a different method, where there's a scaling benefit recieved from raising your social. You roll* with X = your Social, and Y = the target's physique. On a failed roll, you deal 3 brute damage per point of social. On a successful roll, you deal 5 brute and 2 clone damage per point of social. This is technically a 6 dot ability in canon, but... shush, it's cool to flense flesh from bone with a demon-scream.
As 3, but it targets everyone within 5 tiles, and your Social stat is treated as being 2 points lower for all calculations.
Hellweaving
Cost: 1 Demon Chi
Rank 1: Target one person similar to Dominate and Presence. For a brief moment they will be hard stunned
Rank 2: Target one person, they will be hard stunned for a brief moment. They will also have a chemical smoke cloud spawn around them that deals clone damage to anyone who breathes it in.
Rank 3: Target one person, they will be hard stunned for a brief moment. After that they will move heavily slowly for a few more seconds
Rank 4: Target one person, they will be hard stunned for a brief moment. They will also for a few seconds be forced to attack themselves
Rank 5: Target one person. They will both be hard stunned for a moment and suffer from fire hallucinations. Unlike the other disciplines, they will be immediately point to whoever casted on them (you, the caster)
Demon Shintai
Rank 1-5: Allow you to select various demonic forms with each rank granting stronger abilities.
Samurai: Give armor to Melee and Bullet equal to Rank*10 (So at rank 5, Give 50% armor against melee and bullets)
Tentacles: At rank 1, add shock immune, ability to pass tables and become masq breaching, at rank 2 add immunity to pushes and slowdown, at rank 3 add immune to sleep and damage slowdown, at rank 5 become immune to stuns.
Demon: The more ranks you have, the faster you are. With rank 5 being blisteringly fast
Giant: Gives punch damage equal to Rank*10 and a Meleemod of Rank*0.5 (So at rank 5 give 50 punch damage and 2.5 Melee Mod)
Foul: Based on the rank give more potent blurriness and chance to make a mob unconscious for 0.5 seconds.
Shintais
Blood Shintai
Cost: 1 Yin Chi
Rank 1: You will be given a choice between inflating yourself or shrinking yourself. If you inflate yourself, you will move slower but gain 20% armor in melee and bullet attacks. If you shrink yourself, you will move slightly faster.
Rank 2: You will spit out a mist of blood that acts similar to pepper-spray that travels slowly 3 tiles from where you were facing. Be careful as due to it moving slow, you may accidentally spray yourself
Rank 3: Transform into a Carbon mob that looks like a blood puddle. If any person walks across you they will slip and fall, and you can slurp up blood stains on the floor to heal you with the healing being equal to five times the half amount of stains that you cleaned (for an example 4 stains cleaned will give you 10 brute and burn damage healed). However when you exit out of your blood puddle form, you will forget all learned languages (common problem with all carbon based transformations), as well as be stunned for 1.5 seconds
Rank 4: You will have the ability to throw out a blood bubble that wiggles in the air, and is capable of bouncing against walls for 5 times max. However it is very slow as it moves, making it able to be easily dodged. However if it is able to properly hit, it causes 75 Brute damage with 50% armor penetration. As well have a 20% chance to stun, blur the target’s eyes, or dismember their limbs individually.
Rank 5: You temporarily summon a katana made out of your blood. Aside from generally being a katana, when it attacks a carbon mob. It additionally deals 30 clone damage, making it a great weapon for wearing down any foes, especially supernatural.
Bone Shintai
Cost: 1 Yin Chi
Rank 1: You take on a rotten undead appearance similar to Cappdocians. In this form due to being undead, you are immune to being critted and gain 25% armor in melee and bullet. However, you are a masquerade-breach due to your rotting appearance, as well as being slower
Rank 2: You make your entire body invisible. However it is ONLY your body and all items and equipment on you will be still visible. Making it generally not very useful
Rank 3: You temporarily grow bone-like claws on your hand. The damage is 35 but it is 100% armor piercing.
Rank 4: You spew out a toxic gas cloud that makes any living person within the cloud continually take Toxin damage.
Rank 5: Similar to Rank 1’s effect but you aren’t slow anymore and emit a faint light around you. Still Masquerade breaching
Flesh Shintai (1 Yin)
Rank 1 Kuei Jin creates a hand projectile similar to the Changeling’s tentacle, on hit it will grab the person and move them to the KJ.
Rank 2 The hungry dead grows giant like arms which gives similar effects to potence
Rank 3 Dodge like effect that deflects bullets at chance
Rank 4 The Hungry Dead can create a flesh trap that will automatically grab anyone and hold down thoe who the Hungry dead already aggro grabbed
Rank 5 Create a pointer that allows you to mimic any mob similar to a chameleon effect.
Ghost Flame Shintai (1 Yang)
Rank 1: Light up and deal continuous burning and temp damage against people around you (Do not get extra punch damage or make it burning)
Rank 2: Summon a fireball minion that deals burn damage
Rank 3: Fireball attack
Rank 4: Firekatana that deals additional +20 burn damage (and is pretty cool)
Rank 5: Ignite yourself on fire, burn mod or all burn damage is immune. But items might burn off
Jade Shintai (1 Yang)
Rank 1: Bury yourself in a pit Rank 2: Be able to jump farther as well as able to pass mobs, grilles, and tables
Rank 3: Similar ability to Gargoyles in that you are slow but pass through walls that are in the same area
Rank 4: Fly
Rank 5: Rock armor of 50% armor as well as be given rockfists that act similar to power fists (so they attack with knockback)
Chi Arts
Tapestry (1 Yang 1 Yin)
Rank 1: Be able to see Ghosts and notify them that you’re wanting to talk to them
Rank 2: Does nothing (Supposed to make a portal to Penumbra but it sucks rn)
Rank 3: supposed to make you lucky. Does nothing
Rank 4: Lets you teleport to any supernatural area due to them having low wall ratings (Caerns, Giovanni place, anything very innately supernatural including Penumbra)
Rank 5: Spawn a Gravity anomaly
Equilibrium
Cost: 1 Yang, 1 Yin
Rank 1: You gain effects similar to Blood Power of Vampires. To summarize the buff is adding +5 max to your punch damage, +15% to your melee and bullet armor, +2 to (Dexterity, Athletics, and Lockpicking), and Ignore Slowdown
Rank 2: You are able to shift your chi between themselves. So you can transfer your Demon chi to your Yin and Yang chi pools, and so on. This rank will also refund your spent yang and yin but will not work if you are fully empty
Rank 3: You give Rank 1 effect to all persons near you in a 5 tile radius. You also gain the ability to change your Chi pool sizes as well as your Hun/P’o virtues (So you can change if you are imbalance to Yin and Yang, as well as how big is your Demon pool)
Rank 4: You stun people in a 5 tile radius around you for 2 Seconds
Rank 5: You are able to mimic the Mandarin’s ability to feed on the ambient Chi. This effect refunds your spent Chi points but will not work if you have none.
Yang Prana
Cost: 2 Yang Chi
Rank 1: You will be given a prompt that asks you to say a statement or command. This short phrase will be hypnotic to all people who can hear you in a seven tile radius around you. For 30 seconds they will be supernaturally compelled to follow or believe that given statement to the best of their ability, after the time runs out they will proceed to stop being enchanted.
Rank 2: You create an aura around you that lights up the area. All persons in a three tile radius around you will have a 20% chance of being flashed and blinded for a brief amount of time.
Rank 3: For a brief amount of time, all melee attacks from carbon mobs will miss against you and thus be able to dodge any ranged attacks
Rank 4: For a brief amount of time, you will have a similar effect from Rank 3 except with ranged attacks. However you must keep a hand free in order to deflect it
Rank 5: For a brief amount of time you have the similar effect as the Ethereal Jaunt of SS13 Wizards. Where you are ethereal for a brief moment and can move anywhere before reappearing in the new place you arrived at.
Yin Prana
Cost: 2 Yin
Rank 1: 10 Second Effect where you are near invisible like a pre-buffed Obfuscate. However you are able to attack people and interact with items more. Giving it a better combat variety of effect
Rank 2: A supernatural field of darkness constantly surrounds you. Making it easier to hide in darkened areas, although it will cause alarm to players when they see such intense darkness.
Rank 3: All people in a 5 tile radius around you will be knocked down for 2 seconds and will take Fifty stamina damage. Good for damage control.
Rank 4: You will drop all items on your active hand and summon a shadow like effect on your hand. It has two main functions. When attack a door whose difficulty is 10 or below in lockpicking, it will destroy that door. Against carbon mobs it will give them twenty clone or aggravated damage as well as knocked down for 2 seconds.
Rank 5: All persons in a seven tile radius around you will immediately suffer from dangerous hallucinations similar to dementation.
