Learning Disciplines
Appearance
Kindred are able to teach one another in the use of their unique Disciplines, albeit the willingness to do so only comes rarely. Every Discipline taught is another increase in the strength of a rival who may one day use them against you. To even consider sharing Signature Clan Disciplines is considered a topic most controversial among Elders and Neonate alike.
How to Learn Additional Disciplines
- To learn new Disciplines beyond your Clan Disciplines, one must find a willing teacher first.
- To teach other players your Disciplines, you first have to 5 dots in that Discipline, then you must feed them your blood, and then you have to use the Teach Discipline verb in the IC tab to mentor them in the desired Discipline. This will cost you 10 experience points to represent time and effort spent, and unlock the Discipline for them. They still have to spend 10 experience points to actually learn the 1st dot.
- In-Clan Disciplines stay at a cost of 5x current rank in experience, but out-of-Clan Disciplines cost 7x current rank to increase. Caitiffs buy all Disciplines at 6x current rank.
- Caitiffs can choose their 3 basic Disciplines as per normal, but then spend 10 experience to buy any of the common Disciplines without needing a mentor.
- There's a special interaction if you try to learn Vicissitude as Old Clan Tzimisce or Celerity as True Brujah. You shouldn't be learning those Disciplines as those bloodlines.
- Don't use Celerity and Temporis at the same time.
