Giovanni
The Giovanni are a reclusive, fully independent clan that operates as one tightly knit family. To the mortal world, they are a wealth family with ties to the Italian mafia and criminal organizations throughout the world. To the Kindred, the Giovanni are necromancers, a clan of power-hungry mages who rose from the status of bloodline to clan by usurping Clan Cappadocius. They operate like a sect of their own, and while they will offer their services to the other sects, they intentionally keep out of the way of the Camarilla. The Promise of 1528 was signed between the Giovanni and the Camarilla recognizing them as the successors of Clan Cappadocius, and promising non-interference between the two factions.
Disciplines: Dominate, Necromancy, Potence.
Flaw: The Kiss of the Giovanni brings with it an excruciating pain, rather than the tremendous pleasure that any other kindred's brings. This pain is so terrible as to cause physical damage and even potentially death.
Recent History
The Promise of 1528 is perhaps the most defining trait of the relationship between the Giovanni and the Camarilla, and has ensured their independence. But rumors have begun to abound regarding a previously unmentioned time limit on the Promise. If this is true, it's possible that the Giovanni will be thrust back into the Jyhad. Even more shocking is the rumor that the clan's founder, patriarch, and self-made Antediluvian, Augustus Giovanni, has gone missing or died.
